A whole new meaning to destination Special Events!

It is an honor to have you consider The Belvedere Inn & Restaurant as a possible location for your Special Event. The historic mansion (See History) sits on five acres of manicured grounds with 10 beautifully appointed guest rooms and a full service restaurant. For a private event, we can seat approximately 100 guests indoors and to 350 guests outdoors (outdoor season runs June through September) making our establishment an exceptional destination location for your Special Event.

Special Events will include reserving our 10 guest rooms. There is a three night minimum during months of July and August. Other months require 2 nights. Holidays may have further requirements. As we only have 10 rooms, typically, immediate family members are the chosen to occupy the Inn. We can help you locate further lodging rooms for your other guests.

We are conveniently located just minutes from downtown Saugatuck, Douglas and Holland, near some of West Michigan’s best shopping, championship golf courses, hiking and many other attractions. Well known as a destination spot, our area makes for a great experience for your guests attending your Special Event. It really becomes a mini vacation for them and you can therefore be assured your choice of location can be one you are proud of!

Equally important is all food (except for cakes) is prepared by The Belvedere Restaurant (See SE Menu) which allows us to control the quality of your dining experience. Most Special Event locations asses a facility charge to hold your event and the food is outsourced to a list of vendors that offer a commission to the facility. This, alone, separates The Belvedere from many local venues. How important is this? Have you ever had bad food at weddings? Beverage service is also provided by The Belvedere.

From the day of contract to your event date, your Special Events Coordinator will work closely with you to make sure all your requirements are met. From menu selection to rental equipment, every item needed will be arranged for you. This also includes the coordination and receiving of all your vendors on the day of your event. The Belvedere is very unique in this manner as we work very closely with you in every aspect.

Please note the general guidelines to determine if The Belvedere is the appropriate venue for you. Unfortunately, we are not able to accommodate all requests due to our high demand.

  • Outdoor season is June through September. Outdoor capacity is 350. Remaining months are indoor events with a capacity up to 100.
  • All food and beverage are arranged through The Belvedere Restaurant.
  • Special Events have lodging requirements (3 night min July & Aug - 2 nights other months, Holidays vary).
  • Ceremony only contracts are seldom offered and if so, during off season. The renting of all guests rooms is still required with a ceremony fee.
  • Periods of high inquires are Fall, Christmas/NY's Eve and Valentine's Day. If you anticipate an engagement during one of these times or holidays, consider contacting us in advance to begin your research. From past experience, contracts issued after these dates are "alternative dates" requested.
  • Actual high request dates is June as the Inn only requires a two night minimum. Special Events for Memorial Day Weekend, Independence Day and Labor Day Weekend are generally not available.
  • Pricing varies on menu, rental selections and requirements.

As labeled, The Belvedere is a place for "couples with a taste for the extravagant." If you believe The Belvedere will fit into your dream day, please submit the Special Events Form and our Special Events Coordinator will contact you shortly. For Special Event Inquiries, we ask that you contact us via this Form which will be forwarded to our Special Events Coordinator. Keep in mind that our dates are limited and it is advisable to have an alternative date in mind.
